As the Town of North Greenbush continues efforts to become a certified NYS DEC recognized climate smart community, Cornell Cooperative Extension of Rensselaer County is providing support for a Climate Smart Resiliency vision document to be developed. All residents of the Town of North Greenbush are encouraged to be heard in this process. Please take the survey which is short and easy to navigate which will be a critical means to gather input from as many stake holders as possible for the vision document. You can access this link here Town of North Greenbush Climate Smart Vision Survey. If you are unable to access the online survey to provide input please contact Bernie Wiesen at bw27@cornell.edu or at 5182724210. Deadline to take the survey and provide input is October 27th. Why a vision document? A vision document will represent the community members’ on the topic of strengthening the town’s resiliency capacity. The final document will serve as a guiding statement to help frame the direction the town aims to take when considering the longevity and well-being of their residents. This project is made possible through the Climate Resilience Partnership. The Climate Resilience Partnership is a collaboration between Cornell Cooperative Extension associations in the Hudson Valley, with funding and assistance from the Hudson River Estuary Program and the New York State Water Resources Institute.
